This charming and simple illustration celebrates the iconic, annual tennis competition, that is Wimbledon. Drawn in patriotic British red and blue as part of Julia’s Dasher brand, we get to see a men’s singles game in full play watched by anxious spectator. The umpire shouts “Out!” and a ball girl gets ready to spring into action as she eagerly watches the ball. I love watching Wimbledon, a time of hot summer nights (hopefully!) and I head for the shade of my lounge where the click of the ball against racket can be heard coming from the TV … with the occasional grunt and tantrum from a tennis player of course. It is Wimbledon after all. :-)
