Ronda Postcard

JG049830

Ronda is a mountain top town in Andalucia with a legendary bridge (Puente Neuvo) from which there is a massive drop down to the Rio Guadalevin, made even more terrifying with tales of throwing people off during the war as described in Ernest Hemingway's For Whom The Bell Tolls. My drawing of the famous bridge is a lot more cheery and butterflies (maybe the souls of the dead) flutter overhead. In downtown Ronda the bull ring dominates the landscape. I hate bull fighting but cannot leave it out of my design as it is an intrinsic part of Spanish culture. My bull ring is more like a flower opening up in the sun's hot rays and the Matador is very much dwarfed by a very angry, black bull.

Julia's vision of Ronda makes a cute and collectable postcard and is also available as a beautiful Art Print for your home.
