I am delighted that the Julia Gash brand is a finalist in the Gift of the Year Award 2021 in the international category. Hosted by the Giftware Association, the awards celebrate the best of British giftware. I am honoured that my creative collaborations with licensees worldwide has been recognised as being amongst the best of British design for international markets.
My artistic collaborations with partners around the world begin with a design commission from a retailer, who selects iconic landmarks, local cultural heritage, distinctive flora and fauna and anything that makes their location special and unique. Through my licensees, I create the artwork and they then transform it into a wonderful product range, printing onto sustainable and stylish giftware.
Julia Gash giftware ranges can be found in department stores around the world, from Macy's in New York, to John Lewis in the UK and Diamaru in Japan. National heritage sites and tourist attractions including Arc d'Triomphe in Paris, Sintra palaces in Portugal, and the Alcazar in Seville all sell my artwork, carefully made into beautiful products.
My collaborations with universities and colleges across the globe is extensive. Harvard, Cornell, Brown and Berkeley are amongst 150+ universities and colleges that sell the Julia Gash story as part of the Neil Varsity Line.
Cool and contemporary independent shops and destination boutiques around the world stock my brand in over 20 countries. Wildlife charities and national parks are favourite design projects for me as I love drawing animals and nature. The RSPB, Wildlife Wetland Trust, Yellowstone National Park and Hengistbury Head all count amongst my retail stockists.
