South Australia Postcard

The pink and blue rocks of the Flinders Ranges undulate across the top of my Cityscape of South Australia and look down onto this beautiful, dry and ancient region of the world. Emus and lizards walk under the foot of the mountain range where the Sturt's desert sweet pea flowers under the baking sun. The Barossa Valley is home to vast vineyards and further down by the coast the McLaren Vale is also a popular wine growing area... two good reasons to visit South Australia! Adelaide, with its Central Market of abundant, local produce is the region's capital but cute little Hahndorf where its inhabitants dress in traditional German costume caught my eye. The wildlife and natural landscape is very much the focus of my Australian Cityscapes however and I like to draw the interaction between the little critters, including the seals and kangaroos in the Great Australian Bight.
