Portsmouth Postcard

JG125430

Local and national heroes, Horatio Nelson and Charles Dickens look over Portsmouth, home to Britain's most significant naval base as well as lots of lovely culture. Some of the UK's most important sailing vessels from times past and present can be found on the shores of Portsmouth, including the Mary Rose and HMS Victory. There is some stunning neo gothic architecture, by way of the Portsmouth Museum and Art Gallery, which contrasts sharply with the ultra-modern Ben Ainslie Racing HQ. I often drive from Devon to Sussex and can see the Spinnaker Tower in the distance, piercing the sky's and I know that I am half way home. My favourite feature in my illustration of Portsmouth is the HMS Marlborough Figurehead's but that's because I have a thing for ship's figureheads, I just love them and this is my number one all time favourite!

Julia's vision of Portsmouth makes a cute and collectable postcard and is also available as a beautiful Art Print for your home.
