New York Postcard

I travel to New York every year as my work is showcased at a lifestyle gift trade show in the city as well as being stocked by Macy's world famous store. I discover something new about The Big Apple on every visit and therefore I keep creating new versions of the city as I get more acquainted its many landmarks and diverse culture, which has evolved out of its origins as an immigration port. My favourite place of discovery is without doubt Ellis Island, which frames by Cityscape of New York at the bottom of the design. I am fascinated by the story of people's journey to the States and the reasons for leaving their home on the other side of the world, whether it was to escape poverty, to flee religious persecution or political oppression or simply to carve a better future for themselves. Out of desperation and destitution, over the past four centuries, refugees have built one of the world's most amazing cities and as such this is testimony to the power and necessity of human migration.
