Michigan... the Great Lakes State! Surrounding by water on virtually all sides, Michigan is a great place for bobbing about in a boat on a lazy summer's day. The winters however are unforgiving and as Michigan borders Canada, the ice and snow returns every winter, as does the state bird, the American Robin.

My illustration of Michigan features the lakes that surround the state together with its iconic cities including the State Capitol Lansing. Famous for music, Detroit City and Motown are included in my design as is the Ford car production plant.

Given its extensive lake shoreline, Michigan is a state of many beaming, lighthouses, of which a few are scattered around my Statescape.
