The quaint and historic architecture of Massachusetts tells a story of the European colonial heritage and it is wonderful that so much has been preserved. I am particularly grateful as it gives me so much to get my teeth into when I draw my MA State Scape. I love the neat, little churches of Boston and remember seeing them for the first time in 2013. The many white and red lighthouses that hug the coastline of Massachusetts are pure indulgence as I adore drawing their beaming towers that shine bright in the deep blue sea. I remember flying over Nantucket and was mesmerised by the white, clapboard houses and churches that lay quietly under my feet. My State Scape of Massachusetts includes many of its state icons including its bird, insect and flower. See if you can spot them in my design!
