Jedburgh Postcard

JG095730

My illustration of Jedburgh is one of a series of artworks I created in collaboration with Visit Scotland. Jedburgh sits at the foot of the Cheviot Hills and was a 17th Century frontier town, near the English - Scottish border. As a key battleground, it was also a stop over for Mary Queen of Scots in a time of turbulence and terror. Today, it's an attractive tourist destination, home to Ferniehirst Castle and Jedburgh Castle and Abbey. There's a pretty fountain in the quaint Market Place, which is where the two, cute horses are heading as part of the Jedburgh Common Ridings.

Julia's vision of Jedburgh makes a cute and collectable postcard and is also available as a beautiful Art Print for your home.
