Herefordshire Tote Bag
I’ve only once stepped into Herefordshire, about 40 years ago when I visited the tiny church of Kilpeck, made famous for the ancient carving of the Sheila-na-gig. It’s featured in my illustration of the county, which I’ve drawn in the colours of fruits that grow here, apple green and golden pear. Hereford is a beautiful city, I love the black and white Tudor architecture here , which pop up in other towns in the county: Leominster, Ledbury, Bromyard and Ross-on-Wye. I have walked the Malvern Hills, which form the eastern border of Herefordshire and hope to hike in the peaceful Wye Valley to the south. The River Wye runs straight through the middle of the county, winding through this verdant land, dotted with ancient castles, pretty, little churches and market squares. Just mind the Hereford Beef Cattle when you hiking through this plentiful and peaceful land!
