Dumfries and Galloway Tote Bag

Dumfries and Galloway is one of Scotland's best kept secrets, located in the south west of the Southern Uplands. My illustration of Dumfries & Galloway was created for the National Trust for Scotland and this beautiful area of land and coastline contains several of their properties including Threave House & Gardens, Broughton House, Thomas Carlyle's Birthplace Museum.

The Galloway Hills provide the northern framework for Dumfries & Galloway, over which bats, a seagull and an osprey fly. Cattle and hikers roam the hills whilst red squirrels dart around the parks and woodlands.

My illustration also features the Solway Firth in which lie the Rough Isles and Murray Isles, which is home to a rather large cormorant community.
