Colorado Postcard

Colorado is cool! I didn't realise how breathtaking the landscape was (or how great the beer was) until I started discovering this land of both sky high mountains, grand canyons and desert sands through my work. The Rocky Mountains start their journey here in Colorado, scattered with fir trees, mountain goats and snow... lots of snow! Colorado is therefore home to a major ski resort: Aspen and is therefore a big draw for lovers of the white stuff. Lots of major rivers run through the state, carrying the glacial water from the mountains to the valleys and cities below: Boulder, Denver, Colorado Springs and Fort Collins. The Rio Grande begins its journey south here and with that, much needed water for the hotter, dryer states to the south of Colorado.  The airport of Denver echoes the triangular shape of the mountains, which I think is super cute so I've included it in my design. I have discovered that Colorado is home to some excellent breweries, presumably due to the plentiful supply of water as well as abundant grain crops from the farms in the east of the State. My State Scape of Colorado contains several mini portraits of people having fun in the great outdoors, whether you like to hike, fish, ski or drink beer... Colorado's got it in buckets!
