Canterbury Greeting Card

JG151040

Ciao Canterbury! Built by the Romans, shaped by the Normans and perfected by the Tudors, Canterbury is a cacophony of architecture from ages past, such as the Roman City Walls, the Norman St Augustine’s Abbey and the Tudor Old Weavers House and Beaney House of Art and Knowledge. Present day architecture can be found in the marvellous, modernist Marlowe Theatre. The piece de resistance however, is the iconic Canterbury Cathedral, that made this city a pilgrim’s happy place. Chaucer looks out over the city as do three black choughs, a symbol of this ancient city below which, a chorister shuffles along to vespers at the cathedral and a couple punt along the River Stour.ger, better and more beautiful. Time for me to return to this green and pleasant corner of England I think and see all this beautiful architecture and cultural heritage again.

Julia's vision of Canterbury makes a cute and collectable greeting card and is also available as a beautiful Art Print for your home.
