Brussels must be one of the prettiest yet significant capital cities in the world. With its past as a major trading centre of the Renaissance world as evidenced by the stunning Grand Place and its future as the seat of governance for the EU it has a place in my heart and is part of my heritage. My name and genes hail from this region and I am openly a Remainer and passionate Europhile. Belgian beer, Moules et Frites and chocolate... what is there not to love about this place?!
