Bretagne Postcard

When I was a student I hitch-hiked to Bretagne aka Brittany, with my friend Sophie. It turned out not to be a good idea and we had to jump out of a moving car when the man who was driving it started throwing money at us as he left the road and hurtled down a remote country track. Bretagne is so close to where I live now, just across the sea from Devon and on a clear day I strain my eyes in vain so as to catch a glimpse of this beautiful and mysterious land. I want to see the lighthouses shine their light, the sailing boats puff their sails and visit ancient sites where strange looking sheep roam. And I realise that the only way to do this is to go. Go Julia, just go!
