Borkum Postcard

JG170230

This design is part of an exclusive, creative collaboration between iconic German bookstore Thalia and Julia Gash.

Borkum is an island and municipality in Lower Saxony, Germany, with roots dating back to the Romans, references to the island being cited by famous philosophers Strabo and Pliny the Elder. The island is perhaps best known for its natural beauty, being home to the Borkumriff Sandbank and a plethora of meadows and shallow pools.  However there is also plenty of man-made features that make this place so special. The Promenade which is aptly included in my illustration is an especially unique place to take one's daily stroll. It can also lay claim to the oldest operational train, the Dünenexpress..All aboard to Borkum!

Julia's vision of Borkum makes a cute and collectable postcard and is also available as a beautiful Art Print for your home.
