When I draw a regional city that has both ambitious, modernist structures combined with significant, historical architectural assets I am never failed to be impressed as it demonstrates a respect for the past and confidence for the future. The local, amazing selection of food and wine of the Bordeaux region also make this a must-do weekend trip for me.
