Black Forest Tote Bag

The Black Forest is where my map illustration journey began. When I was a little girl of about 7 or 8 years old, we went on a family camping holiday in Europe. The Black Forest was our first stop and I can still smell the pine tree forests. The awe and wonder that I felt at seeing fairy tale castles and cute alpine houses is something that has stayed with me as I travel the world and discover it through my art. The first taste of chocolate laden Black Forest Gateaux, the first sound of the cuckoo clock. The joy of travel and discovery is something I try to capture in my art and no more is this present than in my vision of the Black Forest.
