Bath Greeting Card

JG105540

I think Bath is one of England's most beautiful cities and fortunately it's a day trip away for me, which means I get to visit every year. The draw for many is the stunning Georgian architecture, rows and rows of neat residences made in yellow ochre stone and dotted with chimney pots and pretty, wrought iron balconies. The most stunning view is of the Royal Crescent, where the arch of buildings create a beautiful rainbow shape over the city of Bath.

The Circus, Queen Square and Pulteney Bridge are similarly breathtaking. Wandering around Bath is a treat and even better if you can tag on to one of the free walking tours that take place every day. The historic figures that put the Bath on the map, feature in my artwork: Beau Nash and Jane Austen. Wonderful museums including the amazing Roman Baths and Fashion Museum also feature in my artwork. A busker sings for their supper outside Bath Abbey together with a couple of choristers that make their way to vespers.

My favourite treat... Afternoon Tea the The Pump Room features within the artwork, as does the indulgence of a plunge in the thermal spa. It's great to see that Bath is encouraging local artisans and on my next trip I'm going to make a beeline for Green Park Station, where they sell their wares.

Julia's vision of Bath makes a cute and collectable greeting-card and is also available as a beautiful Art Print for your home.
