I adore the old fashioned, seaside charm of Asbury Park and loved drawing its iconic Art Deco inspired architecture which harks back to a time when this was a weekend getaway and holiday from home for New Yorkers. Today, people have fun on the beach and boardwalk, which I've captured in my design and I also pay homage to the town's musical heritage with its infamous music venues and bars. Asbury Park is the home of musical legend Bruce Springsteen who actually has a bag of this design, given to him by one of my best friends who queued for over three hours outside one of his intimate concerts in New York. Bravo Bruce! I hope you like my design of your home town. :-)
