Arizona Postcard

Amazing Arizona! A State of Grand Canyons (literally!) as well as parched deserts dotted with cacti and some wildlife you might want to avoid snakes! The Hoover Dam is a monumental, man-made structure in the State and in my illustration it sits side by side with the beautiful, natural landscape feature of Havasu Falls. Cowboys, rodeo, tequila and ghost towns are all parts of Arizona's cultural heritage and creates an image as a frontier state where the west was wild. This image is still relevant today but in the 21st century, discovery is in the entrepreneurial, technology driven companies that start up in Scottsdale and Phoenix as well as the star gazing researches at the Lowell Observatory. Something new I learnt about the hot, dry State of Arizona when creating this State Scape... it has snow clad mountains too! It's the perfect holiday destination where you can ski in the morning and sunbathe in the afternoon!
