Aldeburgh Tote Bag

When I research and illustrate locations that I've never been I am often very quickly drawn into the unique culture and beauty of a place. Such is the case with Aldeburgh, a quintessential coastal town on Britain's East Coast and one that I knew little about before I took up my brush and ink. I am won over by its very English, eccentric architectural landmarks such as the Martello Tower, the House in the Clouds, Fort Green Mill and The Lookout Tower. My version of Aldeburgh has seagulls squawking over a pretty pebble beach where lovers meet and boats take their rest from the sea. So all aboard for Aldeburgh and we'll have a Fish 'n' Chip supper when we get there!
