Alaska is the Last Frontier of the United State of America. It is a place of a spirit and wonder. In my illustration of Alaska, animals and marine life are the real stars … a polar bear gazes up at the northern lights, a bald eagle swoops over an oil rig, which looks like a toy under its magnificent wingspan and omnipotent presence. Orcas jump up from the aqua blue sea of the Gulf of Alaska and hungry bears wrestle with salmon ion the banks of the flowing rivers. Huskies lead the way through the wilderness. Glaciers, pine forests and wildlife refuges draw people to visit this area too and indeed, I hope to visit one day to see this wildlife wonderland.
