Aachen is an ancient Roman city in western Germany but also steeped in medieval architecture, being of importance in the reign of Charlemagne. There is indeed plenty of interesting and ancient architecture my illustration of Aachen, including the Rathaus and Dom. People come to Aachen for its beauty but also for Aachen Print … a sweet, honey laden, gingerbread style cake, topped with a slice of almond. I’m on my way!
