Bremen lies in northwest Germany and has played an important role in Germany's maritime history. The ornate and Gothic town hall, beautiful cathedral and gorgeous Hanseatic architecture tell a story of Bremen's success as a trading city and route to the ocean. Today it is full of culture, available to see in its many museums and galleries. I love the street sculpture of the donkey, dog, cat and chicken and wonder what story lies behind that?!
