Missouri Postcard
Missouri is known as the “Show Me State” on account of its people being cynically inclined! I doubt whether this is true but the name has stuck! It’s famous for jazz (Charlie Parker), bluegrass music, and many literary giants including Maya Angelou, T.S. Eliot and Tennessee Williams. I have included the iconic Gateway Arch of St.Louis and the famous Missouri River that winds its way through the state from east to west. Its state capitol is in Columbia and has beautiful landscape to its south by way of the Ozark Mountains and Poplar Bluff. A cultural road trip through Missouri sounds like a very nice plan!
