Italian Lakes Tote Bag

In 2024 I drove through the Italian Lakes on my way to and from Greece in my campervan. I camped overnight on the banks of Lake Garda and was smitten. The colours I chose for this design remind me of this region, ochre and terracotta set against a verdant green. On the way home, I camped again, this time at the right foot of Lake Como. The following day I enjoyed a boat trip across the lake and walked around one of the many, unbearably beautiful towns that fringe the water. Sadly, so did a staggering number of other tourists, many with Instagram crews to hand, cluttering up the tiny alleys. My love for the region and its food (favourites include local cheese and polenta are featured in this design) was not daunted. With Milan and Verona to the south, Trento to the east and Switzerland to the north, The Italian Lakes is a culture vultures paradise and hikers’ heaven. Ciao bella .. I will be back!
