It's Showtime in Paris

It's Showtime in Paris
Showcasing sustainable souvenirs, stationery and accessories made from my artwork happens throughout the year but kicks off in January and this year in Paris. It's a short flight from my home in Devon, England and so I flew over the Channel to meet and greet customers from around the world and team up with Louisa, the international accounts manager at my British licensee Judge Sampson. Here we are infront of my new, large scale world map, which we launched at the show!

It's wonderful to meet up with customers and talk about new projects and how we can grow our business together. Ines, our Portuguese distributor from Lisbon and I are discussing how we can take my super, little Sintra design forward onto more sustainable souvenirs.

It's not all work. I also get time to explore Paris and shop :-). I love the beautiful, big dome of Galeries Lafayette ... like a cathedral of the modern age to worshipers of fashion!

In contrast I adore the beautiful, artisan food shops such as this gorgeous chocalaterie in Le Marais.  Nobody does shop windows better than the Parisiens!

And the same goes for cafe-bar culture. I love calling in to the traditional zinc bars that seem to be on most street corners, particularly in Montmartre. My favourite is Le Village on Rue Abbesse followed by Cafe de 2 Moulins on Rue Lepic, which was made famous in the film "Amelie". Here I am at les 2 Moulins getting to know a rather gorgeous garcon.

As I go about my day in Paris I love to come across my work in shops around the city.  My work is sold by La Chaise Longue gift shops amongst others and the Arc D-Triomphe.

As such, my Paris art print celebrates this iconic landmark amongst other favourites including the Sacre Coeur, Notre Dame, Louvre and of course its star ... the Eiffel Tower :-)
