Hello Grace's Giclee Art Print Shop

The Covid lockdowns brought many changes to our lives. One for me was a huge surge in demand for my art prints.  Spending went online as people couldn't go to shopping and my spirited, naïve, local themed illustrations enabled people to bring their happy places, which they could no longer visit, into their home. They also had time to focus on their home decor and create their new home offices too!  I needed additional help and so two years ago, I took on a Kickstart Apprentice to help with the running of my e-commerce business. Hello Grace!

  

Grace quickly became my right hand woman, printing, packing and shipping orders around the world as well as improving our online retail systems. In doing so, it freed me up to focus on my art. Through her amazing work in digital marketing and business online support, Grace became integral to my growing business.

 

When I moved to Sussex last year, Grace took on another job but we both struggled.  She missed the interaction with customers at Julia Gash and without a helping hand in my art business, I was yet again overworked. So a year later, we have come together as co-founders and directors of a new business, Grace’s Giclee Art Print Shop! Grace runs the day to day and I guide and mentor a young, female entrepreneur to run a successful creative enterprise.   With more time to produce art and with Grace busily printing my work, we both got back to doing what we love and know.

 

 

Last month I loaded up the van and drove it along the South Coast to Exmouth in Devon where we heaved our specialist, giclee print machine and paper and picture frame stock into our new business premises and set up Grace’s Giclee Art Print Shop together. Grace is using the knowledge and experience gained at Julia Gash, to offer the same services to other artists, illustrators and hobbyists. Together we bring a wealth of experience to a premium quality printing service for other artists and illustrators that would like to monetize their art whilst retaining the integrity of their brand. Our ability to understand and assist artists and artisans in creating prints, postcards and greeting cards that sell, as well as providing guidance and the digital work to improve their online shops, is second to none.  

 

Print-led manufacturing is close to my heart and something that has been in my life from being a small child. It brings me joy to see something beautiful and new appear from a printing press. I also welcome the opportunity to help others succeed in their creative businesses through my guidance and the facility we are providing. I will also have more time to create lots of new artwork for my online shops as well as getting ready to write my creative guide to running a business for creatives, which has been on hold for two years!  Let's get back to what we love :-)
