My final live art gig in my recent American road trip was at the University of Massachusetts at their beautifully, landscaped Amherst campus, which also happens to have won the best student food and dining experience across all America, so ... I ate like a queen!
I discovered that falcons flew from the iconic Du Bois Library so included them in my latest version. I painted at great speed whilst I was busy signing merchandise for my super student fans and being interviewed by the student newspaper too.
I love it how my paint palette develops throughout the day, as much as the painting!
I even got time to create another one, this time focussing on the falcons flying through the sky, with the iconic library building in the distance. And we flew out of the campus store and to the football game, which was an education in itself!
I was wowed by the marching band and charmed by the cheerleaders, bringing cheer to the roaring crowd. It worked ... we won! :-)
My live painting at UMass Amherst marks the end to a fabulous 10 days of art on the road, where I have had a huge, heartfelt welcome wherever I travelled and have been wowed by the amazing array of marvellous merchandise printed with my art. None less than at UMass where I hope to return one day. For now, I'm homeward bound so goodbye New England and hello England :-)
